GENOM D42 BattleSuit
Urban/Ground Modular Warfare System
The GENOM D42 Battlesuit (Core Rulebook p. 344) is a Military / Law Enforcement powered exoskeleton features a military-grade fullerene armor shell with flexible aerogel for thermal insulation and a diamond-hardened exterior designed to resist even potent ballistic and energy-based weapons. The integrated exoskeleton enhances the wearer’s strength and mobility, applying a +10 bonus to strength-based tests, inflicting an extra +1d10 damage and AP of –2 on melee attacks, and doubling the distance by which the character may jump.
It is completely sealed to protect the wearer from environmental factors and temperatures from –175 to 140 C. It’s interior helmet is equipped with an ecto (Core Rulebook p. 325), a radio booster (Core Rulebook p. 314), and sensors equal to specs (p. 326). They are fitted with life support features and a maker (Core Rulebook p. 328) capable of recycling all wastes and producing air for up to 48 hours and food and water indefinitely.
These suits have an Armor Value of 19 Energy / 23 Kinetic.
Occupants may only wear armor with an Armor rating (Energy or Kinetic) of 4 or less; this worn armor is cumulative without layering penalties. [cost: ₠28,000.00 / 25 CP]
Designed to compete with Poseidon Heavy Industries burgeoning “LandMate” BattleSuit program. The D42 lacks Amphibious propulsion and Orbital maneuver verniers but uses a proprietary armor that outlasts the Kobra in a stand up fight in Urban or Ground settings. It is also somewhat larger with a more easily targeted combat silhouette for Seeker weapons. This is compensated for by standard issue Electronic Counter-Measures that come with the unit off the line as a stock feature.
All D42 Battlesuits come standard with the GENOM “Boomer®” Tactical Network.
